Sierra Leone is listed by the UN as the 'least liveable' country in the world - the average living standards of each resident of this nation is the lowest of all the nations. For more information about the country, click here

Yet Georgiana Kargbo, her husband and their friends are developing a fantastic ministry called Christ Our Anchor, based near the capital city, Freetown. 

Together with friends Andrew and Claire Carrick (from Watford Community Church), Harry Wake (Incare Director) and Janet Wheeler (AoG Missionary in Ghana) I am looking to find ways of encouraging the children and people of this needy country in practical and effective ways. I want to encourage the leaders to keep up their great work.

Our friend Georgiana has an incredible testimony of how God preserved her life during the brutal atrocities and bloodshed in Sierra Leone during the nineties.

She travelled to the UK and trained at the International Bible Training Institute and later was 'adopted' as an associate missionary worker of AoG World Ministries.

This week we will engage in a range of activities:

• Pray with and for the leaders and workers we meet
• Claire will use her skills in children's work to bless the boys and girls we meet in the various projects we visit
• We will all take part in a range of meetings for the churches and local people
• I will lead a pastors' seminar for a couple of days
• We will visit school and social action project and explore how we can suppor
• We may well get to visit one of Sierra Leone's famous white beaches :-)

Here is the itinerary we have received so far:

• Monday- Arrival in Sierra Leone 
• Tuesday- visit to see school and project 
• Wednesday- Bit of sight-seeing before Harry and Janet leaves 
• Thursday- Seminar from 10am to 1pm and evening to see home cell 1 
• Friday- Seminar fom 10am to 2pm and evening to see home cell 2 
• Saturday- Visit to one of the best beach in Sierra Leone  
• Sunday- Divine Service 
• Monday- Preparation for departure

• Anointed teaching ministry
• Discernment of how we can support the ministry effectively
• Andrew and Claire Carrick, esp. as they catch again God's heart for the nations
• Safe travel and good health
